TTY service and Ubiduo™ devices are available to assist the deaf and hard of hearing.

Who is an eligible person?
A Veteran who
-
has served at least one day in active military, naval, or air service AND
-
was discharged under "other than dishonorable" conditions
Or
The spouse of

any Veteran who died of a service-connected disability OR
-
any member of the armed forces serving on active duty who, at the time of spouse's request of priority, has been listed for at least 90 days as missing in action, captured in the line of duty by a foreign government or power, or forcibly detained or interned in the line of duty by a foreign government or power OR
-
a Veteran who has a total disability resulting from a service-connected disability OR
-
a Veteran who died while a total disability, resulting from a service-connected disability, was in existence.
SHOW-ME HEROES ON-THE-JOB TRAINING
Show-Me Heroes offers On-the-Job Training (OJT) to help your business save costs while preparing new hires for your vital jobs. The OJT Program Provides . . . Cost Savings: We reimburse up to 50 percent of wages of workers hired through this program for up to 1040 hours of OJT. Excellent Employees: We connect you with veterans who possess a proven work ethic and a variety of valuable skills gained from military service, prior employment, and education. Convenience: Based on the job requirements, we match your business with a skilled new hire and provide ongoing guidance and support.
YOUR BUSINESS PARTICIPATION:
• OJT position is permanent and full time (32+ hours per week).
• Your business must participate in E-Verify. (Learn more about E-Verify at www.uscis.gov/e-verify.)
• Your business must be registered on jobs.mo.gov.
SMHOJT PROGRAM STEPS Contact your nearest Missouri Job Center to confirm your eligibility. Identify potential participants who are: referred through a Job Center or are referred by you to a Job Center. Develop, complete, and sign the training agreement prior to the start date of the OJT employee.
